Druzy Fusion was born at the intersection of lived experience, scientific rigor, and a deep respect for nature.

Our founders, Dr. Carl Ormerod, PhD, and Rebecca Richardson, bring together two distinct, yet complimentary, perspectives. Carl's background in applied mathematics focused on drug delivery modeling and bioavailability, understanding how compounds are absorbed and utilized in the body. Rebecca's experience blends decades of leading strategic programs for some of the world's largest companies with her personal passion as a committed herbalist. Together, they formulate and produce research-driven, superior mushroom supplements.

In 2021, the pair took on stewardship of 120 acres of family land in Missouri. With over a decade of growing mushrooms for personal use, they began exploring the potential to cultivate functional mushrooms with clinical impact.

A turning point came when Rebecca — battling long COVID and autoimmune complications — was advised by her functional medicine physician to incorporate more mushrooms into her diet. That physician, upon hearing about their mushroom cultivation plans, shared a frustration: while she wanted all of her patients to use functional mushrooms, she couldn’t find a brand she trusted to meet her standards.

That moment sparked the mission.

Over the next three years, Carl and Rebecca immersed themselves in research to design a line of clinically aligned, practitioner-trusted mushroom extracts.

Every step of their process was shaped by a shared commitment to integrity:

• We only formulate with ingredients backed by peer-reviewed, published studies — no trends, no marketing fluff.
• Our mushrooms are extracted using gentle, laboratory-proven methods to retain the full spectrum of compounds — including those not yet fully identified but shown to play a role in therapeutic outcomes.
• We use only 100% fruiting bodies, never mycelium or mycelium grain. We deliver them as liquid extracts to support maximum bioavailability and condition specific-dosing.
